Yeoman
Yeah. So much for death sun angle. I mean, obviously, it is a huge factor, but I think it does get overblown a little. They have elevation.. We have sea level.

Deck Pic
I think these snow covered web cams need to be accompanied by elevation. I was all psyched to see some street stickage and then I looked up the location and it was 2350'
BaltimoreWxGuy
They have elevation.. We have sea level. If you have higher elevation you are closer to the sun...Yeah Ill go with that
WinterWxLuvr
They have some good elevation there. That spot always does well. I think its a good sign for us. Yeah they are about 2200 in Wytheville. We have less elevation but more latitude. Being north helps (unless you want precip lol)

87storms
Enjoy it, Disc! Looks pretty! I'll hope for the best here around 340' elevation lol. probably similar to my elevation, maybe a little better. we're going to need rates with this one, and not mangled bands of snow as they cross the mountains. if we can get a period of steady/moderate snow that doesn't last 15 minutes, i think we can pull off an upset. lots of if's with this one, though. Yeah. Still, it'll be cool just to see some snow falling from the sky in late March. The longer we can hold onto this wintry weather the less time we will hopefully have with 100 degree temps and Ian rooting for us to die of heat stroke. I think MoCo away from the beltway can probably pull and inch or three on the grass only.

I would really feel less bitter about the heat if our house was not horribly inefficient with a/c and insulation. Should probably do something about that... I'm willing to accept the 100s if you can promise me some awesome severe. Otherwise, NO DEAL.

It is because most of our snow never hit the ground, ie clipperfests, or we got slush/grass toppings. Best part of winter out here was Christmas. March 6 was a total disappointment. I expect the same here.
