mitchnick
Give it time, it's really struggling to head north. It took 2 1/2 hours to make it from Lexington to Staunton (which is now snow), but once it starts rates are very good! I have 1.5 since noon, with 1.0 falling in last hour. yeah, the models all agreed in that regard good luck down there, though it sounds like you already have it
thunderman
Snow here south of Elkton at 1200 feet. If there was rain/pl I missed it.
Questsnow
Comparing the 12z run of the GFS at 18z with the current radar, it seems that precipitation is heavier up north. The GFS had little precip into Ohio, while the current radar shows some heavy mixed precip there. I doubt that'll have many implications, but I still found it interesting. Likewise, the precip that the GFS showed for Kentucky is up in WV/OH.

thunderman
Will have to see how this plays out, but if current dendrite growth can hold for both rounds, then parts of the Blue Ridge may need to be upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning.

PhineasC
Temps out here are coming down nicely ... SHD down to 36/28 from 41/20. I like how it can snow there at 36 degrees and snow here at 50 degrees (apparently) but overnight and tomorrow I'll probably be rain at 33. Questsnow
a bust is any bad forecast... You can bust high, and you can bust low. What I meant is if you're forecasting a bust, it's not a bust because your forecast was for a bust. Never mind... I won't bother to explain it.
