The 12z ECMWF had a forecast high of 76 Degrees F in SMQ.

SMQ is now at 84 Degrees F.

That's nearly a ten degree difference. It has a high of 78 tomorrow in SMQ.

More clouds and shower potential tomorrow so temps might not get as high. Looks like right around 80 will do it. Today's forecast for me was low 80s so they basically hit it. A few spots hit 84 but most stayed in the 81-83 range

New gfs and nam really show the BDCF coming in strong for thurs and Friday while tomorrow we likely surge into the 80s once more.

Nam would only have us in the mid 40s for highs on Friday with snow/ice in parts of CNE.

The GFS also lost anything resembling heat for next week. Warmest day is maybe mid to upper 60s

Wednesday should be about the same for most. Winds look variable for the most part tomorrow here on the island. I'm going for a high of 80 tomorrow. Could even end up warmer than today, but doubt that. One thing that will be on our side will be the overnight lows being warm. Starting out at 54,55 is better than starting out at 48,49.

Scratch this. After reviewing new data, I think about 74-76, an early high for the island before a sea breeze kicks in.

Why? It went from 50 to 71 in the city within 2 hours.

The 11am obs has LGA at 59 and JFK at 67. Rare to see JFK warmer than its neighboring airport on the north shore. Of course, a steady NE wind has been persistent at LGA this morning thus far, while JFK has seen light and variable winds. The subtleties of Spring with a BDCF in the vicinity... many independent/co-op station in southern Queens are in the 70's, including Howard Beach. Meanwhile, it's 53 in Great Neck on the north shore.
