What a month though. I mean it's felt like January yesterday and today.

I couldn't believe Boston the last two days downtown...its like there was no snow melt from 3/19...the snow was melting more on the afternoon of 3/19 than the last two days and there was still weenie snow falling on afternoon of 3/19, lol.

Just looking around, you would never think it was 3/21...leaving work with steady light snow and a temp of 31F with full coverage snow pack in downtown BOS. Its one thing if there's snow pack in the ORH hills that doesn't want to melt, but a totally different thing when its downtown BOS on 3/21. Really pretty remarkable pattern.

I had snow melt faster after the Feb blizzard lol.

This is going to be one of the worst short term

Busts I've ever seen from the NAM. Piece of sh*t model.

The 0z would be the worst short term bust. For some reason the model is just incapable of getting out of ruts. Just like two weeks ago with the torched 8h.

We have 3.5" here. There's probably 4-5" just to my north based on radar. Based on my location and earlier returns there's likely going to be reports of 6-8+.

Btw my thinking this wouldn't be a big deal here had nothing to do with the NAM. I just thought it would end up a little south with tonight's stuff which ironically ended up quite a bit further west and northwest than most thought.

Looks like I'm done. Band has not expanded further N and is now pushing E. Cweat should be in it.

The first one just barely got me. Returns were just on the edge. The second heavier band has just been missing.

Acushnet and New Bedford are getting croaked. Radar doesn't quite paint the exact surface picture. Slanted I think due to winds. Heavier stuff is just a smidge south of best returns at least here.

Interesting

If you look at higher tilts, returns generally are slightly further south. Kinda opposite of what you'd expect from your obs. Would be interesting to see how this corresponds to winds at different levels.

New Bedford area may be jackpot on this event, they've been consistently under that thin stripe for hours now

It may not have turned out according to models (as to who would get what) but I am at just under 3" now, and it just picked up again.  I was after 3"- I should get over 4" according to radar at this point.  I am happy.

5" inches - 3 miles NE of EWB (Acushnet MA)

There's a really nasty band literally 2 miles south of here extending ENE to Wareham . Would not be surprised if someone in this region pulls off 8 or 9"

Pretty classic Norlun with that narrow band...
