Baroclinic Zone
So the Euro and GFS have come into pretty good agreement on an inverted trough setting up over the area with the best chances for snow over E/ CT/ E MA/ RI/ and CC. Looks like a 1-3" type setup but with these inverted setups the potential does exist for some narrow bands of heavier precip given the instability of these. Discuss. CoastalWx
GFS has a nice 850-700 frontogenesis from ern CT into eastern MA by nightfall. Sometimes that's a decent signal for snow, despite the QPF output. Of course this could shift around, but it does arouse thoughts of snow possibly a bit further west if that is true. Baroclinic Zone
SREFs aren't overly exciting. Clip CC with 0.25" 24h QPF.
Baroclinic Zone
SREFs aren't overly exciting. Clip CC with 0.25" 24h QPF. Snow Probs aren't too bad. 50% >1" for SE MA/ CC. Some 5% of >4" for the Outer Cape.

If that maintains as modeled, there will be some nice surprises in store for some. Pretty strong signal on the GFS though.
donsutherland1
The GFS looks good for some parts of New England that missed out on the most recent event. Providence and Plymouth could pick up several inches of snow. The potential for a small area of heavier snow somewhere in eastern New England would be present. Even Boston could add to its March and seasonal totals.

I also think it argues for something near CT into ctrl/ern MA too. Check out 850 and 700.

Yeah it looks very solid in the mid-levels. The soundings are great too...20 to 1 ratios after sundown in those soundings.
