Also I added the 5-day average temperature anomalies (00z GEFS) for the next 2 weeks. The past 18 days have been colder than normal for about 1/2 the country. The next 2 weeks will be cold in many of those same areas (plus more chill in the West and Northeast.) This month has featured heavy snow in Europe, the Mid-Atlantic, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Flagstaff, and freezing rain in the Ohio Valley and Northeast. It's 22 degrees in Minneapolis as I type this message. Yesterday's severe storms must have produced multi-million dollar damages for cities hit by hail and wind.
