ummm...I heard rocks hitting the roof. Guess you can check the local Wilkes County forum for reports. I only see 1 other report from Millers Creek.

I've heard of a Sasquatch chunking rocks onto the roofs of remote cabins....

Sleet this morning at 4000 ft outside of Boone.  Heading into Boone around 10 it changed to snow.  Heading down to Wilkesboro it was snow, then a mixture of snow, sleet and rain.  From Wilkesboro to WS it was rain.  I know it snowed in Eden for awhile this morning but it's raining now and in the mid 30's.

It's now a sleet, snow, rain mix here in Eden.

Richmond is getting slammed and their forecast was just for rain as far as I know.  1/8th mile visibility and some are already reporting 2"+ in the western suburbs.

They got destroyed during Snowquester too. For them, not a bad winter.

Well, my surface temperature is down to 35/32 and 850s and 925s are below freezing.  700s appear to be a bit too warm at the moment, but dropping.  I'd have to think that if any of that band in TN manages to roll through here it would possibly fall as snow.  Now, getting that precip here appears to be the problem, though.

Ice possible in Triad for Monday AM.

Special Statement SPE.gif

Statement as of 8:34 PM EDT on March 24, 2013

... Spotty black ice possible by early Monday morning across the
far northern Piedmont...

Residual moisture left over from the recent rainfall... in tandem
with temperatures falling to near or slightly below freezing... may
lead to the development of spotty black ice on area roadways by
early Monday morning. The patches of black ice... if it
occurs... would be most likely on bridges and overpasses.

Uncertainty still exists as to what the temperatures will be early
Monday morning. Early morning commuters should keep abreast of
the temperatures in their area early Monday and budget extra time
to allow for possible travel delays.

Disc can help confirm but I'd say at my residence anyhow I ended up with a solid 5" and if this were January and not march with that sun angle we could've definitely achieved wsw criteria.

Congrats!!! I had just a little mix here, 5 miles to my north see snow falling for an hour or two with no accumulations.
