DavisStraight Posted March 19, 2013 Share Posted March 19, 2013 I was in Douglas about 2 when heavy rain changed to heavy sleet for maybe 1/2 hour then over to heavy snow, Im home now and its light snow, have a couple slushy inches down, shoveling the driveway should be fun later. joey2002 Posted March 19, 2013 Share Posted March 19, 2013 You had the same amount this morning that the Staffordville guy to my north had. I went out right when it switched to sleet and had 4". The sleet just compacted everything to 3.0" at 0700. I haven't heard what fell this afternoon. 1" additional for a total of 5", though the amount on the ground is much more compacted. Snowed all day except about an hour around noon when it was pouring dipping dots. Not quite sleet, but certainly not snow either. They hurt on exposed skin. During that cool band it was all frozen chunks of ice that looked a little larger than pea sized hail.
