Mr Torchey
GFS had the QPF max in ern areas. I think it did better and euro may have been a bit too cold. Yep.

moneypitmike
Just got up and not disappointed. Dumping atm. Big flakes. Eyeballing 5". Will measure but surely lost some to settling overnight. Gonna' be heavy snow to move later. Trees are plastered. I think you'd have been disappointed if you got up at 3:00a.m. like I did. Just a few inches then and crappy radar. Radar to the west is still scary, but it's continued to back fill and we've had this heavy snow since about 5:00a.m. Measured 6 a little while back. Very efficient flakes to say the least. OceanStWx
Anyone know if there's a way to see rain/snow line on radarscope? pinging here in southie Best bet is to look at correlation coefficient. The cooler colors will represent areas where mixed precipitation is being sampled by the radar. Looks like the melting level is above 4000 ft over BOS. That's funny becuase the lil' one woke up at 3:30 but I went into his room w/o ever looking outside and when I thought of it I didn't want to risk waking him. Albany radar looks good for now. We need to get all we can from the AM snows me thinks.

moneypitmike
looks like might be ripping sleet all the way into S Berks. Cold here 27F. alb.gif WT radar shows this is going to stop in an hour or so---looks like theres a clearing line that's about to clear the crest. Once it does so, I think it'll race east and shut things down. At that point, I think we might not have much left for the entire event.

radarman
looks like might be ripping sleet all the way into S Berks. Cold here 27F. alb.gif It's been all sleet here for several hours now. The warm layer may well be under the radar beam in the valley because ZDR still looks like snow however. Bottom of the ENX lowest beam is probably between 800 and 850 or something out here.
