The high resolution models are insistent that these heavier echoes moving through NJ will cool the column essentially for 3-6 hours to support snow. This is essentially important in the EWR-LGA corridor. The RGEM is colder with the new 18z run and has 10-15mm of snow in the area which could be an advisory level snowfall.

 

We will see.

All snow and accumulating on all surfaces here in Brooklyn, I find the one thing that sleet is great at is cooling the surface temps making it easier for snow to stick. Temps dropping still here.

 

Agree, it does make it easier because sleet takes longer to melt and snow can stick to it easier.
