CoastalWx
Come on dude. At least allow me 4-7 Well you know how it goes..have to watch for those pesky warm layers ticking you from the SW. I do think the BOX map was a good first guess. I could actually see you grab a quick 4-6 inch deal and then dryslot too.
CoastalWx
LOL 8-12 for BOS on the RPM? Actually...it does have the little grand finale the NAM shows with those strong height falls coming in from the west. This is more for the area near the MA/NH border. Its been insisting on a hellacious front end thump too. IT has almost all of CT in warning criteria snowfall. Onl within 10 miles of the S coast. Thats the furthest south run yet for that...but for pike northward, its been consstent with a huge front ender.

CoastalWx
Scott, you expecting a change to rain/freezing rain/sleet south of the pike? Probably a change to IP/ZR especially in the interior areas south of the Pike. Could be more IP closer to the Pike where colder air is a bit thicker near ground level. But you'll have WSW snows potentially.

ORH_wxman
Alot of bare ground at Gray,ME. Its pretty thin near and W of Portland for a ways. Was up in Princeton yesterday and the snow was amazing there near Wachusett...solid 10-12"+ everywhere. Only isolated patches in the most exposed sun torched spots. wxsniss
There is some interesting upside potential with this one imby. I like 4-6 here Jerry. I'm not a fan of front-end dumps. I have a comma head fetish, and if NAM has any clue, we may get a piece at the end. Still room to hope for deeper / more southeast development, in which case 4-6 will bust low. CT Rain
18z GFS looks a bit colder than 12z. Yeah... looks good up your way for sure. Still lots of pingers and ice here after the thump... we also miss out on the heavier stuff once the CCB gets cranking to our north.

ORH_wxman
GFS has a sneaky little event on the 21st with more energy rounding the base of the ULL....18z NAM hinted at this too. Wonder if other guidance will pick up on this at 00z...it seemed to be unique to the 2 18z NCEP runs.
