What do you got right now? Still about 12-16"?

I had about 15 this morning. The train ride into Boston though was unnerving...watching the pack diminish into just patches once east of 128...still had decent snow though around and just west of 128.

Still had close to a foot on the ground when I left Randolph this morning . . . arrived at Northeastern to find bare ground!

I'm not sure its possible to lose 15-16" of dense snow in 8 hours unless its like 70F tropical downpours. But perhaps I can almost lose all of it by tomorrow morning.

I'd hope you don't. That snowpack must be 30-35% water, and added to the amount of 55F RA it would take to melt that much, it would be equivalent to 6-7" in 24 hr, on frozen ground. Might get a tad lively around the watercourses if that happened. Might be interesting even if 1"+ RA takes half the snowpack.

I've got a pond in my backyard on top of the snowpack. Looks filthy, lol. Lots of grass now appearing below 1000ft up here... Especially fields and sunny aspects and under evergreens and such. Pouring.

ponds forming here as well.  Root areas of trees exposed.  Was down in G'fileld a little while ago.  Disaster.  Soon to be shared with all.

46.1/46 with .18" down.

Up to 45.1F  still solid 12-15" here.   Here's my view to the SW so the snow in these fields is not as deep as others level or facing north.  Deer are starving hungry now and trying to find apples hidden under the deep snow. Hope forthem we have  some bare spots when the torch is through!

Quite the slug of RA in E.NY. So far just a sprinkle here in AUG, as eastward movement is slow, in fact almost none in the past few hours, though the batch in York County should get here later this aft. I'd be very happy if those yellows and dark greens ran off into PQ without making it into Maine.

50.9 with mist, snowpack has taken a beating, but still remarkably more healthy than I would have thought at this hour. Shots were taken at 310pm.  The rain will do a number later though I think. Still 14" at the stake.

That's somewhat encouraging to see...I'll at least probably get home to still a half decent pack. The heaviest of the rain is going to pass to our west which should help...though we'll still prob get a good half to 3 quarters inch anyway. Hoping to keep it under an inch.
