I suspect the snow pack will be badly damaged around ORH with plenty of grass showing in the lower torch spots that are south facing and along busy intersections. Up in North Worcester though I expect we'll still have nearly 100% cover by Wed morning...though badly mangled from its current state.

You promised me 4-7 left

Yesterday I still had about 25" (with about 9-10" of glacier below the recent storm)...however, just down the hill toward downtown and into sun torched spots, the pack was more precarious. There had been patches of grass in those spots before the recent storm.

Today should be a noticeable dent as the dewpoints this afternoon should finally get above freezing.

I had 4-5 of crust underneath this. I haven't measured today but I'd say there's 10-14 from the recent storm . And what's with the honestly nonsense?

My guess is that ORH's guess of 4-7" left will be correct.  You'll essentially be down to that crust layer with maybe a couple inches of this recent storm left on top.

That 4-5 inches of crust isn't going anywhere fast as that has to be pure ice right now.  We didn't get anything from the recent storm, so I'm down to like 6 inches of ice pack in my yard, but that's not going to go quickly.  This is the snow that fell back in like mid-December and has been packed in by numerous thaws, mixed events, and other snowfalls.

The more water you can lock up in that stuff, the slower its going to melt.

You shouldn't care anyway even if it melts off...you already said before this winter that March is not a winter or snow month anymore. So what you have is already 100% bonus. No reason for you to keep snow pack in March since you said it can't snow any further in this month.

Well I know you get a little excited when reporting snowpack. It may be one of those deals with the snowpack just looks like swiss cheese. Areas that were kissed by the sun are torched but some wooded areas and shade areas have several inches at least.

Snow pack taking a bit more of a beating today, but nothing compared what will happen to it tomorrow. 21" depth at the stake currently.

Yeah tomorrow is going to be an absolute assault. Its gonna take out at least 10-12" of pack, and possibly more. I really hate warm cutters. If we had just had a couple days in the 40s or even near 50F and then cooled back down before this next set of threats...I would have thought we could legitamtely make a run at the March 2001 snow pack that reached epic depths that month.

But this will be too much of a setback. Oh well, can't complain too much about the month so far...epic snows and snow depth with more threats on the table...even if we take a beating in between.

Took a big hit today..I'd say i lost 4-6 inches during the day today.

It's gonna be wiped clean. Will is not going to be correct.

It's ok..we'll build it again Friday night

How much are you down to? I just looked at the NOHRSC map and was horrified at how much it went down in NE CT. Was your stuff really low ratio? It looks like in the high spots you have like 10" left or less
