Western horizon is pretty obstructed here, so I figured that was the problem, but it was a perfect night for astronomy. Clear and moonless. I could see 3 of the Galilean moons with my binoculars. Rick G Posted March 11, 2013 Author Share Posted March 11, 2013 I double checked and the comet should be visible later this week. Those were my first attempts at shooting the sky at night. I wish I had a camera remote. IF the comet does become visible, I'll bring my laptop out and use that to trigger the camera. that way I can get a longer exposure.
