ORH_wxman
Euro is a bit warmer this run for Saturday..maybe a couple inches north of the pike. Can't seem to get any type of trend on that system...goes colder, then warmer, then colder, then warmer again.

Logan11
Any pattern that throws moisture over cold air here is ok by me. I'm sick of being fringed and having coastal lows out near the benchmark at day 5 on that model. I'll take my risk with P type issues. What a bizarre H5 setup on the Euro...the airmass is frigid though.
CoastalWx
That's going to change with each run I bet.
ORH_wxman
Well whatever it shows, I doubt that is the way it actually goes down. At this range, we're probably going to see a whole host of evolutions over the next 2-3 days. One thing that remains constant is that we have a very cold airmass over the region prior to that shortwave(s) coming in.
Baroclinic Zone
Speed of the s/w coming out of the Pac NW will wreak havoc on the models.
CT Rain
Weird evolution but definitely a wintry appeal. Feel bad for those who claimed March is no longer a winter month.
Damage In Tolland
So is the Saturday event a mix or rain or snow south of pike?
Logan11
If its like most clippers...there probably wont even be much precip period south of the track. So is the Saturday event a mix or rain or snow south of pike?
ORH_wxman
So is the Saturday event a mix or rain or snow south of pike? We can't answer that yet...but on the Euro it looked like maybe an inch of snow to light rain in your area...its not a lot of qpf..maybe a quarter inch max. Looked like msotly snow north of the pike...but again maybe 2-3" does it. Its been oscillating from colder to slightly warmer solution each run it seems. CoastalWx
I like the fact the GFS is south...maybe we see a compromise.
Logan11
The 540 line never gets north of central CT. So is the Saturday event a mix or rain or snow south of pike?

ORH_wxman
I like the fact the GFS is south...maybe we see a compromise. Yeah a compromise would mean probably a 2-4" tpye event for most of SNE. Regardless, bigger things to track beyond that even if it doesn't work out.
ORH_wxman
Here comes the next one at the end of the run. Its actually giving DC snow at 228 hours with -10C 850s over us.
