0.85" liquid so far, stuck at 37 F so the snowpack is still pretty deep. Hopefully the snow band tracks a little SE of current projections. The county just to the northwest has a winter storm warning for 4-7", but we have no advisory in Madison. Currently MKX expects an inch here, but a 50 mile shift could mean 6 inches.

Normally I view myself as a Central/West subforum member but with the other areas this storm is hitting hardest, I'll post here. Just a bit north and east of Fort Dodge, IA(home for spring break) and we have 4.5 of heavy wet snow down. Visibilities are down around 1/8-1/4 of a mile as well.

Interesting...    probably be about an hour here before we change over?

18z gfs came in with lower amts...keeps the heaviest north...  thinking 3-5 inches here of concrete.

I think the highest amounts could be between la crossed and roch somewhere maybe 9 inches or so. Morning commute will be a peach

From the looks of radar, western and northern Iowa is getting pounded.

Some pics of the rain and fog today.

Pretty much what it looked like with driving rain and dense fog about 2 hours ago.

My other camera doesn't handle fog well, but it makes for an interesting picture.

My road is completely under water.  This is technically a flood plain, so street flooding around here is pretty common during rain storms.  This is really bad though, as all the drains are still iced over from where the snow plows left piles.  I had to go out front and rescue the large garbage canister the city provides, as it had floated into the street lol.  Water came up to my lower shins.  That was some cold ass water!!

Looks like the rain is pretty much done now.  Just drizzling out there.  Up to 1.44"/1.86" day/storm.  Grass is showing in many areas now, so probably around an inch of slush left.
