butterfish55
Snowing as good as it has since early morning. Hope to crack a foot somehow. Heaviest snow of the daylight hours....That band is lining up perfectly from about norwell to my front door.
ORH_wxman
Snow stopped here, 17" today, I guess 18" if you add yesterdays inch that melted. It got a degree or two warmer towards the end and made the snow wet and sticky, it stuck to everything including my snowblower auger, it was useless. Fortunately my wife left work early, she drove up and I said "you know how you say we should do more things together, well heres a shovel, lets shovel the driveway together". hehe Hey that inch yesterday counts...even though they compact/melt. As I mentioned before, the new depth on the ground and the "storm total" will probably be several inches difference in a long duration storm like this. bch2014
I cannot believe that turnaround we had. Best 4 weeks ever. I still think Jan '11 was better than this stretch. For one, the snow depths were much greater in 2011. Also, Jan. 2011 was 5 or 6 systems whereas this one was 3.

Ginx snewx
Wow. Now that surprises me. Nice, I can say now I cringed when I kept seeing this referred to as an inverted trough and how they never work out. Like this winter, patience paid off big time for a lot of folks. Fascinating storm , really had all the elements too.
SlantStickers Anonymous
I know lots of folks from your neighborhood. Of course they in their early40's now That's cool, it's a nice neighborhood. Lol 80% of cars turning down here are to make the illegal u-turn though. How much snow did you end up with where you are?

DavisStraight
I still think Jan '11 was better than this stretch. For one, the snow depths were much greater in 2011. Also, Jan. 2011 was 5 or 6 systems whereas this one was 3. It was better because it was in the heart of winter and we had a great snowpack for quite a while, this is good too though. weatherMA
10-11 was def way better. ORH broke 100" now and didn't that winter I believe. My total back in Shrewsbury is almost exactly the same at 89", although I could still go higher. Missing this hurts a bit for sure.
subdude
It's been a great 36hr run. The totals are amazing and its atill coming down in places. This storm over performed by leaps and bounds. Lots pf happy folks here. Seasonal totals should be big Classic NE winter.
eduggs
I think logan11 was around 6" 30 hours of snow, 2 hours of melt, and we're just about even. Actually Logan has a bit of a pack going up on the hill. But the valley is roached.

Missing this hurts a bit for sure. 2011 had just an epic snow pack and constant cold from the 2nd week of January until the 3 day torch in mid Feb that year...so it was a deeper winter feel. But this year has had two epic storms whereas 2011 really only had 1, and it fell short of both of these storms for our area. Its too bad we are going to torch for a few days here before it cools off again because we would have had a great shot of building an epic March snow pack for the first time since 2001...though 2005 was pretty good too. It's getting toasty out there. 35/31 and rising pretty quickly with flurries still in the air.
