NWS has been behind the curve down here and it seems up there as well, they usually are great, but they busted on both parts, they had 1-3" here wednesday night when we got nothing on the ground, and then they had 4-6" here and we are at close to 9" and no signs of stopping, it's going to get heavier here soon as well. I don't blame them, everyone busted bad on this, even my hopelessly optimistic map from yesterday busted way low.

Forget 20", someone is going to crack 25" with the looks of current totals and radar!

First ballot Overperformer Hall of Famer!

Nah, nothing will beat Dec, 1997   ... 1-3 of slush ended up 18-24" of powder

But yeah, inundated here in Ayer. 15", just eyeballing from the window - it's well over half way to the top of my tire wells.  S+, 1/4 vis continues

Roads are historically bad southwest of Boston. I don't think people can grasp how bad it is. Busy intersections with 3 feet of standing snow and cars stuck. Plows stuck. Cars all over the roads. Easton Sharon Walpole Norwood, many areas are nearly impassable.

Totally unprepared. Jmho better to bust high in a potentially borderline historic event vs leave everyone scratching their balls unprepared.

30 mile backup coming out of NH this morning.

This will be one of the biggest in march history when coastal damage is factored in.

Don't know why it took NWS so long to figure this out.. radar looked great last night models NAM SREFs Euro were all crush jobs.

My 6-12" forecast for the southern counties of CT might bust low in some spots lol. NWS had 2-4 and 3-6. A lot of TV mets had even less.

plenty of the NYC stations had 1-3" here even at 5 last night, Lee Goldberg on ABC who is probably the best met on air in NYC had 1-3", no one had more than 3-6" Quite the bust, should be fun watching them explain it on air.

i had 4-6" for here and 5-8" for the other 3 upton CT counties, I thought I was being really optimistic, and I totally busted. so much for my first map ever, I don't think a single one of my forecasts verified.

I think it's been PVD and just west..PVD had 1 inch at midnite

Some of the towns and cities in the area that are under the dry slot are... Cranston, Johnston, Warwick, West Warwick, West Greenwich, Coventry, Scituate to name a few...  Typically the 'snow belt' areas...
