Mr. Windcredible!
Upton busted horribly in not upgrading to a warning here. Over 8" and counting. Of course...who hasn't busted horribly at some point in the course of this storm? Just after this post, they finally broke down and upgraded us to a warning. Has there ever been a more difficult storm to forecast for over such a wide area? Busts abound!

eduggs
New snowfall PNS is out from BOX Many 15-16"+ numbers SW of boston 16.3 ORH airport at 7:00 am can they hit 20"? I think they will. These rates are impressive. Reminds me a little of the way central park set their snowfall record several years ago. Initial forecasts were for something close to the 6-8" range... but when you get 2-3" per hour for several hours it gets deep really fast.
SR Airglow
Why does Upton have their WSW out til 6pm, vs ours til 1 pm? Also, think theyre ever going to adjust their Tolland WSW forecast to anything beyond 4-8? Sheesh.. that might verify for my area, but certainly not for a lot of the rest of CT... Oh, and Boston WSW still forecast for 6-10! NWS has been behind the curve down here and it seems up there as well, they usually are great, but they busted on both parts, they had 1-3" here wednesday night when we got nothing on the ground, and then they had 4-6" here and we are at close to 9" and no signs of stopping, it's going to get heavier here soon as well. I don't blame them, everyone busted bad on this, even my hopelessly optimistic map from yesterday busted way low. -skisheep
