Yup should be arriving shortly, and it turns out that I have quite a bit more than in that post, I'm at 8" when it's not a tree covered spot. total overperformer, that's for sure!

i went from about 15dbz. to 20-25dbz.. what a difference.. I went about 2+ hours without much accumulation... still around 10" but snow is really accumulating now.. should easily be over a foot.. thinking 12-16" for my area.. 10-13" for you

Question: If you have 8" on the grass and 6" on the driveway, do you report the 6" to NWS, despite the fact that it accumulated to the grass for 2-3 hours? In a normal storm you go with the pavement, but there was a decent period of accumulation on the grass and nothing on the driveway. should I mention both in the report?

8", SN, 31 degrees.

First heavy snow ob for the year at Albany!

KALB 081351Z 35010KT 1/4SM R01/1800V2400FT +SN FZFG VV007

I thought it might be close when I stepped outside for a walk.  Probably a little generous but still awesome.  Temp creeping back above freezing but it doesn't really matter at this point.  Looks like lots of people are over-overperforming me, and I'm sure that is making lots of snow lovers happy!

We're going to do a group GFS intervention for you before the next storm.  :)

14.5"

That snowhole is to me one of the most interesting aspects of this event. I have never seen it focus on 1 area like that for so long. Wow.

Dr. Ginxy will need to write a peer/weenie reviewed paper on it.

Yeah, most curious thing I've ever seen.  There's nothing obvious on any of the static charts at the normal levels.  Will take someone analyzing soundings location by location.

Super bizarre

Looks like we take a break for a little while down here soon, this nice banding is moving out and we probably drop to SN- for an hour or so, and then the band currently starting to ticke bridgeport hopefully moves in.

Temps inching up here... Wunderground reporting 32.1... Temps were just so marginal here..

Holy Crap!!!  This should fix you for awhile.  What an overperformer...

There's going to a pretty awful screw zone NW of I-84 in Hartford County.

Granby, Bradley, Enfield on south to Hartford will come in with 6 or 7" with much bigger totals all around.

10-13" sounds good, really suprised that upton did not extend the warning all the way down to the shoreline, I've already verified a WSW and still plenty more to come. Are you in the band that's starting to tickle BDR?
