powderfreak
I'll never forget your post to me..It will haunt forever. You should worry lol... I'm pretty sure most of his posts to you aren't serious. Anything with "north of the Pike," "east of 395", "only a south coast scrapper," etc... anything to play with your head. Congrats dude...take some pics of snow covered trees for me this morning. Don't make me post a shot of an evergreen with 3-week old snow on it.
Damage In Tolland
i get the getting crushed at your elevation and in worcestor...i used to see it in wolcott ct when i lived in bristol but what is so great about manchester ct?? and i know its true bc i have friends that live there and know how much i love snow so they dont bs me manchester crushed in the both big jan 2011 events too and as far as the down in ct goes...they will likely make up for it this morning plus they had five to seven more in the blizzard in most of those places if not more plus they had early november etc My mom lives in Manchester. In Geno Auriemmas neighborhood about 6 houses down lol. There's nothing special about it. That's why it's just luck. Sure the hills and elevation help out in the marginal events, but the blizzard and this storm and the DeC 29 storm and the Nov 7 storm were all luck and placement of the deform and mesoscale bands. Climo loves to average out over the years. How about Feb 2006 where you had 28 inches and Manchester had 10?

CT Rain
What's been weird here about this one is that the radar has looked pretty good off and on but we've struggled to get below 1SM visibility.
CoastalWx
I know but that one wasn't and the followup will haunt too Everything is shifting SE What if that Dryslot was 40 miles west. You got lucky, congrats.

You've had a heck of a run this winter. This really is the winter where he's the driver of the bus. What comes around goes around, but you gotta cherish these winters when you area just lines it up and goes for the fences almost every single storm starting back in November for him. Mips
6 1/2 inches of light, fluffy on the ground here in eastern North Andover (not the same microclimate that the Merrimack River end has). It is snowing steady and still accumulating.

wxmanmitch
That's more than double here. MPM is going to be dissapointed when he gets home today. lol Hmm...sounds like low level dry air advecting southward down the valley dried things out up there last night. You may get another 2-4" depending on what that stuff in E MA does.

I measured 0.7" at 4am and it was snowing/blowing pretty nicely. Hopefully some obs from out there will be reported to GYX so I can get an estimate. wx2fish
Woke up to 8.6" so far in Windham. Should make a run at double digits pretty easily with this band moving in.

Climo loves to average out over the years. How about Feb 2006 where you had 28 inches and Manchester had 10? Post-winter analysis of percentage to normal snowfall, there's going to be a pretty healthy band across that area of CT up towards ORH. It seems like NE MA has done well, but the anomalies probably start to taper NE of ORH on that axis. Anyway, discussion for another time. Still tons of snow time left in SNE today, especially the hills. This is where the 800ft+ elevations will really go to town as the boundary layer warms up throughout the day and everyone that's at 30F right now goes to 32-34F snow while the hills go from like 26-28F to 30-32F still accumulating efficiently. Damage In Tolland
What if that Dryslot was 40 miles west. You got lucky, congrats. I'm just busting your teeny ballz.lol I was honestly very concerned about that. The Sref's,Nam and RPM all were targeting Tolland County with that dryslot for 2-3 leading up to this.and may posters were secretly smiling and hoping it happened. Come on folks..you can admit it lol.. Then yesterday they tickled to the e/se with it..The signal was there for that on the mesomodels..so you knew it was gonna happen. I was so relieved when i saw the shift SE yesterday morning.
