Couple flurries, can't believe how far west this precip has made it all the way into philly!

Steady light to moderate snow, going into a meeting so won't have obs for a while(window is hard to see out, I'm on a high floor...), but it's a steady accumulating SN, assuming it was january and the stuff could accumulate, which it's not. Not sticking to anything, although temps are slowly going down.

I think that the precip is farther west is going to be a good thing for us tonight, hopefully means that the trough will set up a bit further west. mets or anyone else, do they have anything to do with eachother?

Respect the firehose and fujiwara

So be it. Euro, NAM, SREF's... all pointing to a healthy evening of snow (lasting well into Friday, if I'm not mistaken).

Told my CFO tomorrow morning's commute is in question. Papa wants to work in his Batman pajamas to start the weekend.

Just drove from Jerrys hood in Brookline to Randolph.

Huge increase in snow cover from Milton Hospital to the Randolph line going through the Blue Hills probably 4" OTG. Starting to stick to the roads again in Randolph 31.8. Drifting nicely despite it being concrete.

How'd Brookline look?

Just measured around JP near stony brook and it was 2.75-3.0" only on grassy and cold surfaces though. Roads and sidewalks have maybe 1" or 1.5" where they haven't been salted or shoveled.

The gradient from south end to my house was pretty impressive - only about an inch there with some bare grassy spots that increased quickly as I went out the orange line.

Took this pic at stony brook.  Coming down really nicely and 32.1/31 and slowly dropping.  We're going to get really ripped, I'm in the 10-14" zone and feel really confident that we'll hit that.

Scooter I think you need to take the little guy on a weenie hike up MQE.

I won't be shocked if someone ends up with 18" there in that weenie elevated region near Foxboro.

Finish up and wait for the efaporational cooling.

Zeus, I think I live not too far from you (about 1/2 mile from jamaica pond near stony) and we've got a healthy snow cover close to 3" on grassy areas .. check the pic from the stony brook station.
