are u down to just your socks ....and flags strewn about the trash bin

Well all needed to do was get the band in here for dark. I was looking forward to tonight starting yesterday...thinking we could see our best chance for snow. But it was a tough forecast.

Lol at that new BOX map. I mean it looks like they just threw markers at it 300 times and it makes no sense except for the max area

It does look funny but I think it reflects elevation in our neck of the woods.  I think those dark blue dots here are areas above 1000'.  I'm sticking with my 6" call for my house and I think this map agrees.

i can imagine....extremely tough

is mid level flow backing more NE?....seems band esp near cape is taking on that more n-s orientation (SW-NE) ....when earlier it would appear it was more e-w.

Getting some 1 mile -SN type stuff now, but not accumulating as the disk of the sun is faintly visible through the clouds. Snow intensity has been variable most of the day, but it's coming down at its hardest now.

It looks like there's a weak deformation zone in E NY near the Thruway. That would be the area to watch for some localized enhancement as we head through the next several hours, but BL temperatures are bad in the Hudson Valley.

Yes indeed I am and very suddenly we have light snow falling.  Didn't know there was 600ft in Bow.  We've got a foot here, 15 or 18 in some spots.  It is a glacier, crusted over.  It will take a while to melt this ...we will need a warm wind.  I'm ready for that..lol

Yeah, there are 3 spots at or just over 900 feet in town off to my WNW.

Starting to come down a better here now, looks like just barely .1 or .2 on top of the old snow. With the way next week looks, wouldn't be surprised if it went quick. I'm not ready for winter to end but I am ready to be outside again on a regular basis.

Daytime radiation sucked.  Now that temps/dps are dropping, it should start to accum again.  Like I said this AM, I 1/2" otg when I left and suspected another 1" or so fell from than till about 9-10am.

solidly moderate here.  almost an inch on top of the old snowpack.  Let's enjoy this for a few days and then melt down fast to spring.
