Yeah, we're still mostly snow here by 495/138, but it's pretty gross.  My Davis is showing 33.9/33 and pretty much everything is dripping.

I was down along 44 before when I reported the mix....but seems to be mostly snow here at home.

At least the roads are just wet, so no early release for the kids.

According to that HRRR map the snow hole currently in W RI stays put!   :)

The most recent advance of the snow from E MA into RI has been denied once again at the border!

Still Mostly Sunny and up to 38 now.

The leading edge of the main precip has made a good push in the last hour into RI.  I don't know what or how much is falling, but radar shows a steady slow advance.

Moderate snow continues, schools just cancelled after school activities, but full day of instruction.

Upton has us changing to rain later, I don't think it's going to happen? Temps have been stuck at 34-35 all morning and aren't going anywhere.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the amateur question, but I noticed that the snow seems to be sticking better at home in East Boston than it is here in Cambridge. Isn't it supposed to be the opposite since Eastie is directly on the water?

could only guess that rates are better in e. boston and the dynamic cooling from the heavier snow rates in boston cool'd the air about a degree more than cambridge. esp with primarily N winds over the area.....i.e  the marine layer from bos harbor shouldn't warm the immediate coast much at all, so rates will drive temps over close areas

Definitely picked up in Western Cranston,  They heavier echos eroded a little as they went into that dryslot but the intensity made up for it.

Wow..anyone from here live there?

North Truro and Provincetown are now an Island. National Seashore Breached, ty @holtmurray & @capecodtimes https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=A6cdNacsKvw …

Wow... I think that happened with the Feb 9 storm, too.

We spent a couple of summer weeks in Truro at the little cottages down the road from there...actually across the street from them.

That precip shield is slowly but surely tickling westward..Almost back on the RI/Ct border..It's a slow tickle..but a tickle is still a tickle

Well.. it's partly sunny now instead of mostly sunny...

Also looks like echo's are now trying to form in Eastern CT - west of I-395.

Could it be that this dry slot remains exactly where it is?

Echo's dry as they come west into W RI and then form again in E CT?

I'm not sure. The models have been targeting SE Ct into W RI for sort of a lower region of qpf. It 's been shrinking and moving SE each run..so hopefully for you guys it disappears..but it could be a bit of downsloping or subsidence..

Working in Boston again today...   Sound and fury signifying nothing but wet/slushy pavement for the most part. Those who called a positive bust here based on the quick coating earlier this morning may want to reconsider, although it remains to be seen what happens tonight. In general it seems that weenies (myself included) are too quick to call a bust either way based on how a storm starts off.

The precip will not go past the RI/CT border quite the cutoff

But then re-develops in E CT... west of I-395.

Been this way for hours now... still partly sunny here but somehow there are a few flurries in the air even though the air temp is 38.5 and dew is 31.

It's a bust. I'm pretty certain BOS will be 6+ by the time its over and few had that. I'm figuring 7-9AM brough 2 inches and now of course with lower rates at times it's stabilized. Unless all guidance is wrong it's a big bust as BOS is having no trouble staying in the low 30s and dropping close to freezing with heavier bands.
