At least here, it's going to really have to pick up for us to make the low end of ranges...just not cold enough-if it were 5 degrees colder we'd have 1-2 inches, instead I have a little slush on the grass...

It's plenty cold if you get moderate precipitation. I've had moderate snow for a while and I'm down to 32/31. It's sticking to all roads here right now. 850s are around -6C for Westchester/SW CT.

Haven't seen a wintry March in a while, nice change. Second snow event of the month and running -1.2. Mid-month looks fun too.

About 4.3, but this sucker hole sucks.

Yeah not looking forward to it...we are about to get into a lull too...but it was pretty well modeled by short term guidance. Looks like to the east of you some more stuff forming. Once the lakes s/w phases in and turns the H5 flow more east (vs northeast), it should begin to become better organized.

You have better snow growth now right, its not heavy by any means but the dendrites are purdy

That's what I'm hoping..you can see that band in extended BR on radar.

I think north winds are causing some convergence...we saw this in Boxing Day as well when we didn't have to deal with as much subsidence from the NJ megaband due to localized convergence...

Ripping here, approaching 2".

Wow... really?  I know the area well and youre doing way better than we are up here.  Does me no good, snow wise, having moved from White Plains to Hartford, apparently.. Approaching about .5" currently     :axe:

I also think stuff will blossom overhead too as the s/w phases...the flow aloft becomes more divergent when that happens.

Strange that I've had strong echoes over me in SW RI for the past 2 hours and it hasn't snowed a flake...

Now that much lighter echoes are forming overhead, N and NW, it's starting to flurry again...

Seems that wall of snow to the west might be wanting to try and build back this way a bit... maybe whatever mechanism that has protected us from snow all day is finally breaking down and/or lifting out...

Just back from some skiing at Mt Southington -snow was very light and non-accumulating  before 8:30 or so - but it has picked up and started to stick to side roads/driveways since. 0.5" this evening to go with 0.5" last night for a storm total of 1". Hope we can get to 6" for the event- radar looks decent. 32.8/31.

No no.. I meant hartford county.. Im in Newington, which is about 8 miles SSW of hartford.  I border West Hartford.  We did great in the Blizzard, but situations like yesterday and today dont seem to do much for us.
