ag3
Coming down heavy but from the look of the radar we'll be ending shortly and I don't doubt the temps will rise so 4.25" should be storm total for here Look in CT. Nice band coming SW.
Kaner587
Another hour... another 0.25 viz from KNYC... Unreal. I'd be somewhat surprised if they didn't end up with 6 inches... In the park currently and there's a lot over 5 for sure
PB GFI
Looks like for Monmouth county after this band rolls through we should start to dry a bit. The precip heading onto the island should swing east of us Way over performed here.
Sock Puppet
I doubt the temps will stay below freezing when the precip lightens up before that though Look in CT. Nice band coming SW.
jm1220
Another hour... another 0.25 viz from KNYC... Unreal. I'd be somewhat surprised if they didn't end up with 6 inches... It's getting lighter now, but that activity in CT/eastern LI is trying to make it down here. Another inch or so isn't out of the realm of possibility I think. Could be quite a number of 6-8" reports in the city, if not the airports. Nassau north of Old Country Rd. already has well over half a foot most likely, and southern Nassau should verify with warning totals also.
wxallannj
In a nice snow band now more than an inch per hour rate...total 6.8 inches.. temp 32.. Clifton, nj. elev. 314 feet
simpsonsbuff
Yes... the 8am report was 3 inches... and since 0.25 liquid has fallen... so just need a little more, i'd think... WintersGrasp
That band in CT pretty much just has been torn apart suddenly....big dry area between there and NE NJ where I am getting hit hard now....seems to be backbuilding for maybe another 30 min? NorthShoreWx
5". No jackpot for central LI this time Looks nice:
ag3
I doubt the temps will stay below freezing when the precip lightens up before that though If the band holds and temps jump up to 33 degrees, heavy returns will quickly push it back down to freezing or below. We have -6 850s over us.
Dsnowx53
Funny statistic: Our three biggest snow events all occurred during the 7th-8th of months. November 7th, February 8, and March 7-8.

Neblizzard
Snowing hard here in Kenilworth NJ? Looks like more heavy bands are coming down from NE NJ. The Nam was right about the second part of this storm, so in conclusion ill give it a pass for being wrong with the coastal.
Pitmaster
Up here in Monroe in OC we are at a foot - maybe more at this point. Amazing storm. Still continues to snow at a good clip here too. Keeps piling up.
Sock Puppet
What was the 850 temp last night? We couldn't crack 32 for most of the night even with heavy precip. If the band holds and temps jump up to 33 degrees, heavy returns will quickly push it back down to freezing or below. We have -6 850s over us.
