As I understand it, the transition from yellows/oranges to blueish purple is your rain/sleet to snow line (blues/purples are snow - yellows/oranges are rain/sleet)

 

 

For those of you who know the dual-pol radar well, here's a question. This is Wilmington, lowest tilt CC, and melting layer. How do I read this with regard to precip type?

4.0" at KTIM as of 9:00pm. Still snowing. "Better" returns trying to push in from the east, but may not get here. Should tack on a little more though. 4.5" was my final call for MBY, so it'd nice to get to that. All in all, pretty pleased.

 

Hopefully MIE and that area can sneak into the Dayton death band. Looks like it'll be close, as it rotates back west.

Agree, I measured 5" on board at halftime. This IU game bustin my ba### @ moment

7" in Franksville was reported.
