J.Mike
coming down nicely but will take a while to stick to the roads here Same here. Seems that Annandale/Springfield/Burke was in the bullseye for the dry slot.
Pityflakes
NW DC has gone from a slushy mess on the grass with wet roads to everything covered very quickly What elevation?
TalcottWx
Perhaps, but ain't no way I'm seeing 6-8 inches of snow in Federal Hill, which is what LWX's snow map has for me. Fingers crossed that these heavier bands rotating up the bay will put me in SN+. I'll believe it when I see it. No snow here since about 4:00 a.m., even in the heaviest of precip. 2-5" would be more likely imo
Fozz
The new map seems a little high, it would have to snow quite heavily to get 8-10" in those areas of Baltimore. Agreed, especially for the lower elevated areas.

mattie g
Same here. Seems that Annandale/Springfield/Burke was in the bullseye for the dry slot. We lucked out in getting accumulation overnight, but it's been pretty boring since about 4:30 or so. That band in MD looks to be rotating in shortly. dallen7908
Temperature has jumped up a degree to 35.6. After earlier moderate rain, now light rain. The occasional snow flakes are gone too. Will be interesting to see when the snow begins here.
AmericanWxFreak
Finally getting some decent rates 2 miles ESE of Columbia.. EDIT: more bark than bite.. seemed like it meant more business on radar, naso much out my window.
PhineasC
The new map seems a little high, it would have to snow quite heavily to get 8-10" in those areas of Baltimore. We'll be lucky to get another couple of inches.

That band in MD looks to be rotating in shortly. I'm in it now and it is decent but needs to dump for a while to get it to pile up
Heisy
Radar looking good for immediate DC burbs, NAM shifted east even more, focusing more and more on C VA. I have about 8.5/9" on the ground in Front Royal.

WxUSAF
Still just light snow that's very "bursty", seeing yellows on radar just south of me now though so hopefully I can get in on that DC deathband action..

ravensrule
Agreed, especially for the lower elevated areas. The funniest part is you already have 3" and they have you in the 6-8", I guess they figure you will not get hit to much by the banding.

ravensrule
We'll be lucky to get another couple of inches. Yea you are probably right, I would say another 2-4" is a good bet.
Bob Chill
32.4 and periods of mod to boderline heavy. About and inch total so I'm light so far. I did see a couple flakes so big that they made smaller flakes orbit around them within the last 15 mins or so
mitchnick
I've been all rain for around an hour-hour and a half my close to an inch overnight is dwindling fast, but rain isn't that heavy or it would have been washed away 30 minutes ago

Symblized
2-5" would be more likely imo My thoughts as well. I'm busting low on the 5-8 inch prediction I've been giving folks over the last couple of days. I knew I would be borderline but am frankly surprised given the models. Not going to complain unless I fail to break the streak, though.
