PhineasC
I think this one is a bust Baltimore and NE. Unless you are OK with a dusting and then rain.
smokeybandit
In Baltimore, the rain is sticking to roads, cars and grassy surfaces, and accumulating in all low lying areas! its quite a scene! beautiful! And the drivers still drive like it's snow

mattie g
Good returns just to the ESE of here, and moving in. Sky is darkening accordingly. I hope to be able to stop whining like a little b****.

BaltimoreWxGuy
Not sure what NWS is waiting for, If I were them I would of already downgraded to advisories at least S and E of I95..
mdhokie
The 20-30dbZ returns on radar over my head and the view out my window are quite disconnected. Same here, nothing but light rain with a few flakes mixed in. Burnbomb
I'm jealous of you all in the DC Metro area. Can't believe how fringed we are here Don't be. Zip zilch here. Nada. Radar shows snow hole. Absolutely no faith that trend will change.

timstobrazil
Heavy show has stated here in Bladensburg MD. I'm at work. When I left Rosslyn this morning at 6:45 it was 50/50 RASN. This is when things get interesting around here.

haudidoody
I'm jealous of you all in the DC Metro area. Can't believe how fringed we are here No need to be jealous of all of us. We've got absolutely nothing here in the tropical climate that is Old Town. It's snowing. But it's melting just as fast. And the dusting is mostly gone. We're gonna need some epic rates. dallen7908
If you're concerned about an all-day drizzle, the rain has intensified here in Bowie, probably moderate now. Occasional flakes mixing in 34.8 degrees. Probably 0.2" of snow/sleet on grass from overnight (already a top 10 event for this winter).
ravensrule
I think this one is a bust Baltimore and NE. Unless you are OK with a dusting and then rain. So basically you think that there will be no more snow for the rest of the storm?, . And I am in Baltimore and I got 1.5" so far, I would hardly call that a dusting. Demeter
Hey you! Long time, no see Picking up in Carroll. Spotter reports showing 2 - 5" countywide. Hi Joe! I'm on here all the time, more than I'll admit...but i spend it lurking and learning from the great people who share their knowledge on this board . Currently moderate snow with some pinging in Fredericksburg, looks like we have a nice band getting ready to make its way in.
jnis
Moderate snow and windy here. Temp is 31. The side roads here had a lot o snow and slush from last nights batch, and the main roads are starting to get covered in slush. The salt is getting washed away. Fwiw, I think MoCo made the right call in closing schools.

Maybe some real mega-band will roll through and drop another few inches. It seems clear the idea of this being a stalled QPF bomb is in some jeopardy. 09-10 analogy
Snow starting to pick up in intensity, but still a little rain mixed in. I think the real deal for DC proper is about to start. Let's hope so.

Have you seen the radar SE of you? The surface low is just now getting cranked up. It is going to pull in more moisture and the radar will fill in. My concern isnt the radar, its the BL...by the Bay, its just not cold enough and even with heavy precip, I dont think I see much accumulation...Im not ruling out snow, but warning criteria?
