H2O
Didn't know you moved to the Southern Hemisphere! I think your problem is that it is snowing upside down into space!!! That was weird. Don't know why it was upside down
mattie g
I will say...despite the lessening in intensity over the last couple hours, it never really changed to rain in Burke.
MidlothianWX
Thunder snow again. Easily over an inch now. 15 miles to my east hasn't seen a flake.
Kmlwx
That was weird. Don't know why it was upside down I actually thought you did that on purpose lol - bands coming west look really really nice on radar. flakes look much healthier. sentiment seems to be improving on here lol
SeminoleSullivan
Just transitioned back to rain (My avatar says SS, but I'm actually near White Marsh, NE Baltimore) Would suspect that I'll transition over again in the next 15-20 minutes with moderate snowfall given the conditions. Good point -- same here. Even with just flurries for a while now, no rain mixed in. Good sign.

WxUSAF
These 5-10min interludes of 1mi vis snow aren't cutting it...need it to last for 30+ minutes to get some accumulation going again. Or drop my temps below 33.8F...

snowfan
Yes. Dover radar looks sick. Thats the stuff we need to move back our way. Without any type of duration to these short bursts of snow, we're screwed.

Don't see that being a problem. I mean look how solid the returns are. I like our odds the rest of the day. Pavement may stay pretty clear but we should be fine accumulation wise in general. TalcottWx
Looking at mesoanalysis the system still hasn't finished fully vertically stacking. The increase in banding over md is a result of 700mb fronto which is par for the course. Everything south over va is in the lower levels.

lsukev
Judging by the RAP, the energy transfer from the inland low to the coastal is almost complete and the new low will rapidly deepen over a period of three hours. Should really see the radar fill in in the next several hours, finally.
WVclimo
Wow 12:1 ratio? Best I could tell without doing a core sample. The snow actually was forming an inverted funnel on top of the 4" gauge. Checked against MRB also, and they had 0.28" liquid through 7 a.m.

Do you have a good resource where i can find a graphic of pressure tendencies across our part of the country? I'd be interested in seeing what stage we're at with the transfer.
