Ian
never seen Charleston, WV radar ever look like this http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=RLX&product=N0R&overlay=11101111&loop=yes this one seems to want to have a healthy backside. as long as we have some cover and can hold temps right it could be nice. snowmageddon had a bit of a sfc reflection work up into wv but this one is juicier (though the front side probably won't be of courswe). Ian
I do think the precip shield is probably more anemic than the RAP was showing etc at least. I dunno. Too early to get super worried but seeing what's happening outside heavy snow.. hopefully radar looks better in an hour.

Demeter
Richmond (Henrico area) has changes to small flakes in the last 5 minutes. Will be heading home shortly, hoping that dryslot that is dangerously close to Fredericksburg keeps pivoting.
WVclimo
Finally got below 33 degrees here. Closing in on an inch on the snow board, and pavement starting to get slushy.
Jebman
mod snow, steady rates, at least 2 inches of snow on grass and many surfaces; bushes, fences, tree branches, the car top and others. Roads are snow covered and treacherous. This snow is VERY wet, It is very VERY slippery to drive on. Tree branches are getting heavy, and more heavy wet snow is pouring down and piling on. this storm means serious, serious business.

Less worried about dry slot than maintaining/reaching heavy enough rates to accumulate. Lost 4 hours now mixing out, melting on contact.
MDstorm
Dozed off for a little while. Now rippin' snow with roads/lawn covered. I can't believe the snow is sticking as temps were in the 40's yesterday . I'm thinking we may have stumbled into something good on this one. Off to bed for real this time, then up around 6:30 to watch the RAP death bands put on their show. MDstorm
terpsnation
Holding steady at 35˚ in CP. Looks like rates should pick up temporarily in a few minutes, then it might by time for a nap before the main event.

Jebman
I think DC is going to miss the dry slot.. Looking better that DC might hit the motherload on the dryslot edge band...
