Can we get a Blizzard Warning? 

Is that even possible with such heavy wet snow. Doesn't it have to be blown around to qualify for a blizzard warning and not just be 35 mph sustained?.

May have to take a ride to Snickers Gap on Rt 7, 1200 ft. Should be a nice scene tomorrow up there, but shenandoah natl park, would be awesome for this event 2-3K feet

I guess it would be a bit treacherous, but if you went up blue ridge mountain road from 7, it'd take you straight up to almost 1800 feet.

Just measured .5" on my cartop in CHO.  Parking lot starting to get slushy.

NWS just took me from Heavy Snow tomorrow to Rain/Snow.  Thanks, LWX.  (Yes, yes, I know it doesn't actually matter.)

LWX also has FDK in the 6-8, but the warning is for 10-14".  It's a clown map...plain and simple.

I would just go to the park n ride lot right off Rt 7, its 1200 there  I did that in the Oct 29 2011 storm
