PhineasC
LWX has made no changes to numbers NO OTHER CHANGES FOR WARNINGS/ADVISORIES. SNOW TOTALS LOWERED ABIT IN THE SHEN VALLEY AS SNOW HAS JUST STARTED TO ACCUMULATETHERE OVER THE PAST HOUR...AND UPPED VALUES IN SOUTHERN MARYLANDTO ADVISORY CRITERIA. This will be a bad one for LWX. Probably sometime in the morning when there are already reports of 5 inches in spots they will up the totals to "3-5 possible."

They sure changed their clown map. That 10-14 bullseye shrank considerably. It's probably more in line with reality now, though, at least for CHO... WxUSAF
Based on radar, I don't think there's a very long period of virga before precip reaches the ground. Echoes aren't circling around Sterling too much but moving fairly straight toward it.

PDIII
Can we somehow ban the NWS auto maps? Maybe with a URL block? I am pretty sure you can.. depending on the web framework the forum is built on.. but it shouldnt't be that hard.. would need to find if it is Admin thing or something the developer has to do. That layer from 700-775 or so is almost perfectly dry adiabatic. Definitely a big signal for convective banding like Wes mentioned in his CWG article.
