Clinch Leatherwood
NWS Taunton is just having none of it with anything over 8", apparently. Commendable stance. Definitely, will either be a resume builder or one of the biggest busts in recent memory. RGEM bullseyes CoastalWx.

Brian5671
You can tell how horribly part will bust already.. yesterday every model had snow starting by 4pm and already up to .5" qpf by 10pm.. even NAM still has me getting into some good stuff by 7pm on its 18z run.. i just dont see that happening.. there is no steady precip anywhere in sight, and its 430pm! I'd be surprised if we have anything on the grass tomorow morning....
SR Airglow
Once again maps don't add up for UPTON.. map would yield a range of 6-8" for all of western ct, yet we are in an advisory for 3-6"??? Take the maps over the advisory, often they just issue one advisory for a big area, I've found that when they differ, the map is more accurate. The advisory might also only be for round one, while the map I beleive is storm total. -skisheep
WeatherEmperor
I've been watching snowstorms since 93'. My gut tells me all these meteos are wrong here and there is going to be a major bust on the upside, RI to Boston. Just my 2 cents from VT though. ORH_wxman
I'm more bullish than BOX for here...but we'll see. I can see it coming in lower too, but I'm not forecasting it that way.

I think you're going to be suprised, find it hard to beleive that we get nothing. Clinch Leatherwood
BOX map goes down local mets go up. Mayhem, type of situation if they are wrong the people will be brutal. They all must be buying the GFS 100% or are planning to see this shift way out to sea. When Will says he'd be hitting SE MA hard, and there isn't a forecast over 2-4" at this point... The interesting thing about the TV guys is they're not even talking much about rain. I mean if they're thinking rain/snow...2" of rain is quite a bit..even 1". Most of the forecasts are just light rain or whatever. So, they must collectively think this misses.

You'd think they would hedge their bets. Its the type of situation where hey you might wake up to 2-4 type deal and thats ok, but even if there is a chance of double or tripling that your out of your mind going from 8-10 to 2-4 so quickly. Should have been a mid afternoon update or at least opened the door for a change a little later on. AFD reads like a snowstorm not a meh event to me. It's Always Sunny
RPM is trash. It's a model for pure weenie enjoyment. If it has 5.6" for Boston I don't think that bodes well, especially since it has a tendency to be bullish.
