Brian5671
How are you guys managing to get 1.50-2.00 of precip when the low is like 1000 miles away? ALSO, what the heck is the deal with that "part 2" shortwave that drops over a foot for NYC, SE NY St, and even decent snow into Philadelphia.... complete model mayhem. I've never seen anything like this...

ALSO, what the heck is the deal with that "part 2" shortwave that drops over a foot for NYC, SE NY St, and even decent snow into Philadelphia.... That "part 2" is a strange feature... I think it's progress south/potency looks a bit overdone on the NAM but the Euro does suggest a chunk of action well inland that rotates/shifts down and around. Sey-Mour Snow
You guys gotta have elevation for this one. Everyone in Virginia with significant snow over 12 inches has some elevation. we are much further north.. what we need is some moisture up here!! SouthCoastMA
I would not believe that at all. I don't. Just saying we can probably chuck it in the trash bin like we do with those SREF members that seem to always spit out prolific totals

joey2002
While overdone..it is concerning ..I've never seen us in a snowhole like that..but maybe we only get 1-3 Yeah, overall this is just looking unimpressive to me. Maybe a couple inches tonight and tomorrow night.

Sey-Mour Snow
You can tell how horribly part will bust already.. yesterday every model had snow starting by 4pm and already up to .5" qpf by 10pm.. even NAM still has me getting into some good stuff by 7pm on its 18z run.. i just dont see that happening.. there is no steady precip anywhere in sight, and its 430pm! BRSno
What I learned from this storm is that it cannot snow in the coastal plain in March because of NE winds. I didn't realize I lived in Virginia now. I'm just a lurker but your sarcasm cracks me up!
Clinch Leatherwood
RGEM is terrible, only 40/50mm plus over eastern MA. Scraper.
SR Airglow
Kind of suprised that upton didn't drop totals here, but yet did in eastern areas. Thought they would cut back after the EURO, but I guess not. -skisheep

Sey-Mour Snow
Once again maps don't add up for UPTON.. map would yield a range of 6-8" for all of western ct, yet we are in an advisory for 3-6"???
