djr5001
For the Monday event... need to watch a warm layer around 800mb that comes within a degree both above and below 0oC from State College to MDT on the NAM... I hope I am wrong but I just dont see the high setting up to our north in time for a good CAD set up... we never have flow out of the northeast its out of the southeast at the surface which helped screw us March 6th and strong southwesterly flow aloft

JamieOber
I'm at the South residence halls and see no such thing. I'm at the Penn Stater for an event and vis is about 1 mile. We're kind of nervous people will leave early so I Tweeted out that the snow will taper off by mid afternoon and give crews time to clear roads. Looking at 511 cam site, looks like some highways around here are snowcovered.
PennMan
Looks like about 1.5" on the ground here. Had a nasty drive from Lock Haven to Bellefonte a bit ago, even I-80 was snow covered much of the way.

Santa Clause
enjoy the rain. Haha Probably right. I am just enjoying the coating today and really taking Monday with a grain of salt. When you have to worry about temp issues, now we have to worry about how much precip....it usually doesn't end well.
djr5001
I got 6.8" March 6th. lol lol then you need to come visit the harrisburg area since you have had the most luck with snow around here this winter with that on the 6th and getting to see the good snow in CT in Feb! When you have to worry about temp issues, now we have to worry about how much precip....it usually doesn't end well. Rain won't be an issue. At least for half the event. Even the warm RGEM/CMC precip type run is good. Colder and more precip than last night.

EasternUSWX
Dang Eastern your ahead of me bro!! Only need 5" to make our seasonal average. It's doble. RGEM through 48hrs has .59" qpf here all snow.
Santa Clause
I think we need double digits...I want to say 11.5 or 12. Not gonna happen. I do think we sneek an inch or two out Monday on cold surfaces.
JamieOber
Go CMC! Snow has picked up now. BTW, your earlier ob was accurate - the snow is typical spring, kind of almost cellular. We have snow here that goes from flurries to moderate snow.

Santa Clause
I would say they end up with highest totals in AOO. Originally I thought we we're in okay shape but looks like we will suffer from dreaded qpf issues.

MAG5035
Have about an inch of snow on the ground down this way.. mainly from earlier this morning. Just had a nice burst of snow a little bit ago lay a fresh dusting but it has been pretty choppy. Main stuff ended up a hair further north towards I-80. Altoona cams didn't show much at all on the ground. State College cams look nice.
