JamieOber
Cold as all get out... Euro weeklies are pretty cold too. Block forever. Euro 0Z drives the 540 line into the Gulf Coast at 222-240. It's kind of disgusting, actually.

We have our big work event tomorrow, http://symposium.tlt.psu.edu/, so I am a bit nervous about the snow, lol. People keep asking.

djr5001
Its snowing tmrw?? will depend on where exact track goes... a quick event likely around 3-5 hours long but NAM like track would be a quick inch or two up your way... a further south track closer to GFS would mean maybe light flurries at most... down here likely snow changing to rain... not expecting more than a light dusting on cars/grass that will be quick to melt if it moves in right before sunrise For next week will be interesting to see how much cold air damming may take place Monday before the system arrives. Better chance for some places in the higher elevations to see some accumulating snow before a changeover to rain as the low pulls north off to our west. Not expecting accumulation around Harrisburg to be anything due to timing...

NortheastPAWx
Jamie - what's the format of the data on the ECM modeling? In other words, like at 6z on the 19th, I see -1.9 and then -0.8. Is that DP/2m temp, 2m/850, or something else?

JamieOber
Quick question...dont valleys east of the allegheny and north of Aoo to mdt line usuallt fair the best in CAD events? Not sure. It seems like we hold onto cold air in the valley I live in (Bald Eagle) valley. But for whatever reason, it always seems like the top of the ridges get more ice events in late winter/early spring. I mind the cold much more now that I am older. Yesterday night was cold but I went for a walk at lunch and actually sorta sweat (in the sun the whole time). This morning when we left for work I took off my coat immediately because it felt much warmer than last night. Maybe I'm hitting menopause. jm1220
12Z GFS has a pretty decent thump before going to rain here in true central PA, even an inch or so for MDT RGEM showed well over 0.25", maybe close to 0.50" liquid equivalent as snow, particularly from maybe I-80 to Rt. 22. Models seem to be trending this a little more north with time, so there could be a decent stripe of snow along that corridor, maybe down to the Turnpike.
