Superstorm93
I honestly can't tell if it's slower or literally a hair further south with everything.
jm1220
I honestly can't tell if it's slower or literally a hair further south with everything. Seems to just be a little slower. Everything I see says it'll be a huge hit.

nzucker
NYC gets about .25" QPF between 42 and 48, storm is 1000mb off Delmarva, southern NJ up to .5" QPF for the frame.
SR Airglow
I honestly can't tell if it's slower or literally a hair further south with everything. I think it's a little slower, but also might be south a tiny bit(10 miles?), but nothing significant in the grand scheme of things, it's still going to be a big hit. -skisheep
Superstorm93
The main precip starts to come in during dusk... This could help out some areas closer to the coast before the winds kick up.
IsentropicLift
Per the snow maps through hr 51, 1-3" of snow already area wide.
dbc
Nam starts the precip in NYC around 5 pm on Wednesday That would be excellent timing. Rush hour would mostly be spared and we would not be as influenced by too much daylight.

jm1220
It's good that we can get a lot of the precip going late in the day-so we don't waste much to daylight. But we need the strong dynamics to ensure the boundary layer doesn't screw things up.
IsentropicLift
Hr 51 big hit NW of the city. Best CCB just glances the city and south shore.
Dsnowx53
The block has officially hooked up with the SE ridge at 51 hours...the heights are bridged/connected. This should make the storm even slower to move out than previous runs.

jm1220
It's still doing the annoying QPF mins along all the valleys-the NAM is often the worst when overdoing the elevation/orographic effects. But man-what a firehose as the main system phases and bombs. People underneath the best banding are in line to get a clobbering, that's for sure. Looks like I-287ish jackpot area-that area is usually golden to get a massive snowband in a storm like this.
