Latest SREF plumes for DC just out...

Mean of 10.9" with nearly half of the ensemble members greater than the aforementioned total...

Such disagreement between the NWS, mesoscale/global models, local mets, and SREF plumes.

Just go with heaviest amounts.

My wife asked me if I was going to be up all night. She wants me to feed the baby. I may have to oblige.

Sam Houston whiskey being poured in 3...2...1...

You're feeding the baby all wrong.

Anyway, temperatures up in my neck of the woods dropped pretty quickly after sunset.  Dare I announce that I'm mildly optimistic I'll see a snowflake, or will that jinx it?

You're only MILDLY optimistic?

Until I see that snowflake, I will remain only mildly optimistic.  I keep myself well-grounded in miserable self-loathing like any good weenie.  If I'm hopeless, how can I be disappointed?

Actually, don't answer that.
