The Dude
I'm out of practice doing that so I'm preparing for the emotional ouchies later. Yeah, it's been a while, but I think I remember what happened last time:
Herb@MAWS
Was anyone so unfortunate to have to visit the grocery store today? I did not, but I imagine that it was a zoo. Traffic north of DC on on I-95 toward B'more was noticeably heavier earlier. Food store had more than usual number of folks in it at only 4pm
The Dude
I was against it but now I'm for it. I'm like a weather John Kerry. I'm for it in that I'm hoping its utter ridiculousness will cure people of this desire to name winter storms
Kmlwx
Not sure if mentioned but Eric Horst with Millersville updated his forecast earlier 5-10 for DC and then 8-16 just north and west. That's pretty bullish. http://snowball.millersville.edu/~wic/storm_outlooks/latest.jpg

That's pretty bullish. http://snowball.millersville.edu/~wic/storm_outlooks/latest.jpg I don't know...that looks pretty good to me. Might not get 10" in DC or 16" at IAD, but we'd definitely fall somewhere within those ranges.
GATECH
Is it just me or does the weather channel have like 8 different snowfall maps going on. Not that I rely on them or even watch them very often, but I swear I am getting 1 to 3, 3 to 5 or 6 to 12. Also, their use of the clown maps from the various models is getting tiresome, and I think just confuses the masses. Grow some and make a forecast, with one snowfall map. Sheesh. Heisy
Wasn't nemo enough bro? The time period from 2003 to 2010 with college I didn't see more than a 6" snowstorm with my own 2 eyes. In some of Philly's recent storms NE Philly got screwjobbed compared to surrounding areas. I'm just catching up with it. Plus I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely prefer heavy wet snow compared to fluff. I am really looking forward to this one even more than the NE Blizzard for some reason. What do you think I end up with out here Ji?
nw baltimore wx
Wow, everybody is all excited and acting like they haven't had a good snow storm in years... clueless
Ok. Now that I have a drink in my hand, whoa... I think zwyts called it eons ago for March, no? And QVectorman (?)' also pegged this time frame. So kudos to those who put their name on a lr for it to verify. And thank you to the usual folks who always have great input and analysis for bearing with, what seemed, like an unbearable winter.
Fozz
Tom Tassylmyer on channel 11 in Baltimore going 6-12" for me and DC, but 3-6" for the southern half of Baltimore city and east of 95. Very good met......and a bit higher than Ava Marie's 5-10". I like it

I've been telling friends and co-workers we're probably looking at 5-10" from about 95 out to Gainesville or, then amounts will go up from there. So obviously this Horst guy is a genius. mattie g
Got the call about 30 minutes ago that I should work from home tomorrow.
