Ian
DC = Don't Cry We will be back on the mountaintop in 6 hours. eh.. this is why climo matters. no clue how anyone could have ran to 10-15" in dc lol.
PhineasC
I am not sure I agree with the folks saying it is OK if we cool off enough to get 2 inches of snow in the storm and that is a win. 2 inches of slush embedded in a 2.25 inch driving 34 degree rainstorm doesn't seem very appealing. WinterWxLuvr
eh.. this is why climo matters. no clue how anyone could have ran to 10-15" in dc lol. Doesn't the NAM handle temp profiles better? Maybe I'm just being a weenie here, but I'm really pulling for you guys. I still say it will trend, and be, colder at game time.
Ian
It's march. If you get any heavy snow it's a win. Ppl have ridiculous expectations.

blazeKing
You just gotta shake your head when you see his page ...hes leading those poor weenies to doom just because the ego won't let him admit the north trend. This system has the hallmarks of a rain and dryslot storm ..I'm beginning to wonder if this may be a huge bust for the mid atlantic. How far north can this go? Guess we'll see at 0z whether the gfs holds.

Bob Chill
im kinda dreading 0z. hopefully the gefs mean will be good. Yea, if 12z gfs didn't bump temps 850 and below I wouldn't be too worried about the 18z run. But back to back is worrisome. Can't say just rely on the euro either because it's still catching up it seems even with an apparent cushion. Nam is a good tool at this stage but not enuf to hang your hat on with soundings. Getting off to a better start will help some. Well see what the soundings look like tomorrow and compare to obs. Maybe we shave a couple extra degrees early. Or maybe I'm a serious weenie.
