mattskiva
About 1" here on hard surfaces and roads, 3" on grass/mulch. Insanely high water content. Looking at the trees is making me nervous. Crazy to hear reports of rain 10 miles east of here. 33/

mattie g
And I am certain that when all is said and done you will have more than me. I am enjoying whatever falls. I don't doubt it. I'll enjoy it, too, but knowing that the precip is out there and I have the right conditions for it to stick...it just sucks a little. I impatient, but I'm able to wait for it to start cranking. A few more inches would make this a big win. Then it better get warm.
Pityflakes
Ok really need some input. Roads are clear, my husband works in Rockville and is debating whether or not to go down. If he goes down is this thing really going to get its act together and he have a crappy drive back or is what we are seeing is what we get. There's likely to be some good bands between FDK and Rockville setting up during the day today. Could really slow things down, even on the highway, from time to time. North Balti Zen
so many people complaining Guilty. And don't feel bad about venting a bit. This is a terrible event so far down by me. Maybe it saves later, but this is a perfect capper to a terrible winter (two winters) at this point.
nw baltimore wx
I know nothing about your microclimate but I'll be really surprised if most of you don't get buried today into early tonight with the way this is coming together. Good luck! I don't understand how you can have a developing radar in front of you and not see that this going to be awesome! Yeah, the streets will be a slushy mess but it's March! And tonight, once the sun sets, it's going to be chaos on the roads. Thanks for dropping in. I read your stuff a lot.
nw baltimore wx
Went for elevation. How far are you willing to go? Try Carroll county? Parrs Ridge area is always an overperformer.

North Balti Zen
Starting to feel a little bad for my complaining since this is good for the folks west. And Richmond of all things apparently. Maybe we should start a complaining thread so we don't mess it up for happy people...

Probably going to hit 137 just east of Westminster then work se back to 695 once the banding coming over the bay consolidates in the next hout or two. Parrs ridge looks a little long I think. nw baltimore wx
+100, a lot of weenie complaining going on here. I'm at nearly 500' and I thought for sure I'd have to travel today to see heavy snow. Yeah, I know everyone loves snow in their on backyard, but despite all the "the nam is colder!," we all knew that along the fall line we'd be fighting the R/S line all day. My suggestion for those that are complaining is to get in the car, pick a small town 30 miles west of you, find a bar with a big plate glass window overlooking main street, have a drink and watch the snow fall. North Balti Zen
If this somehow turns into something from BWI north, I deserve consideration for the weenie hall of fame for my wilting under pressure and my meltdown since 4:00 am. Even if most of it is an internal meltdown. What I am bleeding onto this board is remarkably restrained. ETA: NW Balt...I wish. Work is on so...rain! We might have some mixing issues at some point today, and may even go over to rain for a bit, but I still think later today and this evening could be pretty awesome even in our hoods. Get some pics and be safe on the roads.
