really picking up here now. Less rain mixing now (maybe none at all). The flakes have gotten larger too so I can actually see them. Maybe I told my boss the wrong decision. Maybe I'll go the bipolar route and now say I'm not coming. Still nothing on the road here (dead end street seldom used) or driveway, or walkway.

Getting good tho

Any good weenie spots north of baltimore? Just filled up my tank heading north.

Drive north to Shrewsbury just over the PA line. Park in the Wal Mart lot on top of the hill (to the left of 83 as you exit). Shrewsbury, New Freedom, Stewartstown all do very well in city marginal events like this. Shouldn't take you anymore than 25 minutes to get up there on 83 from Towson.

Got ya. I actually was up there in the fall looking at foliage. Thank you.

Yup, pretty entertaining to say the least. But I don't care - Ive got my laptop set up to where I can look outside and I'm just gonna enjoy a day at home with the girl and "work" when I can :)

:)

I get a day and the kids are jacked up. It's all good

While the actual accumulation isn't that impressive here, it's very obvious just how heavy this snow is.  It hasn't rained near me yet, but there are huge, wet drops falling from every branch and the snow itself squelches on harder surfaces.  If this actually were piling up on pavement, it wouldn't be much fun to shovel.

so many people complaining

It's worth remembering that we are in March of a pretty poor snow season.  Maybe we're not all being buried alive, but it's still a rare event to see.  Besides that, there's plenty of storm still to come for the area.

Edit:  Good lord, look at those flakes.  It's been a while since I've seen them that size.

Have TWC on in background.  Just heard my daytime snow forecast went down from 5-8" to 4-6".  Neither would disappoint me.  I had to have my NE.WX Contest forecasts for this storm entered by 10pm Monday. Locally, I went with:

BWI: 7.5 IAD: 9 DCA: 3.5

I'm sure I'll bust for PHL and most points north as I was expecting a more ENE track from the mid-Atl coast on Monday evening.

Count me in that group, even though I shouldn't be complaining since I have more than most people this far east!

Im home, with my girl, watching snow fall. I have no complaints regardless of how much ends up falling.

I know nothing about your microclimate but I'll be really surprised if most of you don't get buried today into early tonight with the way this is coming together. Good luck!

:) Weatherfella - You will probably calm some nerves with that post.
