You're only MILDLY optimistic?

Until I see that snowflake, I will remain only mildly optimistic.  I keep myself well-grounded in miserable self-loathing like any good weenie.  If I'm hopeless, how can I be disappointed?

Actually, don't answer that.

I've been telling family/friends in Carroll a general 9-12 inches look good.  Some indications tonight that might be low.

Never tried it, will have to add it to the list. Mostly stick with Bombay and Tanqueray, Boodles once and awhile.

It's a completely different taste for gins-- much smoother and less juniper. The rage was to use it with cucumber juice/cucumbers, but I like it just straight up with a lemon twist.

I'm really more on the border with Baltimore county than in Carroll, and while my elevation isn't bad, I usually only see about half of what Westminster does.  If I do get 9"+, I will happily make a snowman and eat his hat.  It's been so long since we had anything over 3" here that any snowfall above 5" (which would almost double my seasonal total here) will be an extra treat to me.  Again, that's arbitrary -- I have unreasonably low expectations most of the time for my immediate area.  Keeps me sane.  Ish.

Edit:  And if you'll look at that HRRR panel right above me, that's what I mean with the little snowhole directly over my area amongst the heavier returns.  I'm not taking that realistically, but If I mentally prepare for that, then anything better is a pleasant surprise!

I won't be happy tomorrow unless I see dendrites so big that they make their own gravity.

Turtlehurricane says it's too early to rule out connection between those dendrites and Russian meteor.

Unless you are sitting in the middle of Liberty Reservoir you should do fine....9 inches for you maybe more.
