It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Overall, the models have become less bullish regarding snowfall totals for the DC metro area today (ex. NAM, GFS, SREF plumes), but this all depends on the R/S line. 

 

My initial forecast called for 10-12" for DC...this may be on the high side, and they may get more in the range of 5-7" (more towards the lower end), but we'll just have to see how it plays out.

I think one big issue is that they tend to wait until the scheduled update times to update even given data between the times. So right now we probably won't see any change from them until after 9 probably.

With all due respect, we haven't seen decent snow for years. So, when it comes down to it, a 6 inch call for DCA is a hallelujah.

Holy crap that has to be reserved for the perfect time like thunder snow...that stuff is like gold and probably costs more per ounce
