Hoping someone can help me out here.  I'm trying to find the page on NWS that would show hourly snowfall amounts for IAD.  I have a friendly wager with a friend of mine for total snowfall at IAD (and hourly accumulations at various times throughout the day).  All I found was this, which wouldn't show snowfall amounts:

Don't think the NWS issues hourly snowfall updates.

That's where I played golf on Christmas Eve.  Starting lightly snowing on #5.  By the turn there was a fine dusting on the greens.  On #13 the balls starting looking like Saturn and its rings after a putt.  We had to quit on #15.   I was using an orange ball and still lost it in the snow on the fairway.  Good times..   :snowing:

I've played there too, decent track.

Yeah guys I came to front royal va, the holiday inn in at is right next to a golf course...mountains in distance, a snowstorm here is going to look nice. GFS and NAM seriously placed a small bullseye over me...My "goal" is to surpass 20", well see, think I can do it?!

Wasn't nemo enough bro?

Not sure if mentioned but Eric Horst with Millersville updated his forecast earlier 5-10 for DC and then 8-16 just north and west. That's pretty bullish.

I don't know...that looks pretty good to me.  Might not get 10" in DC or 16" at IAD, but we'd definitely fall somewhere within those ranges.

Is it just me or does the weather channel have like 8 different snowfall maps going on. Not that I rely on them or even watch them very often, but I swear I am getting 1 to 3, 3 to 5 or 6 to 12. Also, their use of the clown maps from the various models is getting tiresome, and I think just confuses the masses. Grow some and make a forecast, with one snowfall map. Sheesh.

The time period from 2003 to 2010 with college I didn't see more than a 6" snowstorm with my own 2 eyes. In some of Philly's recent storms NE Philly got screwjobbed compared to surrounding areas. I'm just catching up with it. Plus I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely prefer heavy wet snow compared to fluff. I am really looking forward to this one even more than the NE Blizzard for some reason. What do you think I end up with out here Ji?

Ok. Now that I have a drink in my hand, whoa... I think zwyts called it eons ago for March, no? And QVectorman (?)' also pegged this time frame. So kudos to those who put their name on a lr for it to verify.

And thank you to the usual folks who always have great input and analysis for bearing with, what seemed, like an unbearable winter.
