Elevated area of hills and valleys around manchester/westminster. Elevation tops around 1,100 feet. It's why they jackpot so well with noreasters. great orogrpahic influence and 2-3 degrees colder during storm. Look at google's terrain map. pretty cool area.

Same goes for Sabillasville, Myersville, etc in Frederick.  Particularly Sabillasville, which is over 1300' w/spots over 1600'.

i already booked a dump truck and front loader to haul wxusaf's snow from his yard to mine. For 20 extra bucks we can do ian's block and dump it in yours.

For Ian's block, a dump truck and front loader won't be much help.  You'll need something more like this:

Sounding for DCA per 12z NAM from BUFKIT:

10-11 pm RA

12-2am SN

2-4am SN+

4 am-11 am SN

11 am - 1 pm SN+

2 pm-5 am SN

6 am SN-

Snow accumulations somewhere from 15-20"

Good luck with 15-20 in DC proper. Remember there will be worse ratios than normal.
