H2O
It was worth a try. Expect it to be worse if the 12z suite torches
mdhokie
5" is my threshold. If I can get to that then I've doubled my last two years and all that falls on top of it is sugar. Would love the higher amounts but I know my track record down here. Same here. I feel for the amount invested in tracking this one, and the fact that we are going to get 1-2" of liquid, 5" is my weenie cut off. (insert weenie joke here)
WxUSAF
I saw WBAL's/Tony Pann's map...I think that's their RPM model output.
mattie g
If I were in Baltimore and that happened, I wouldn't come near the boards for a week. And if my backyard gets white rain while Winchester gets 20", I won't pretend to be happy for them. Snow is so IMBY. I'd get a kick out of this "verifying." grhqofb5
Well I certainly hope the local mets on TV learn to read these models a little bit better next winter. This is infuriating.

mappy
I saw WBAL's/Tony Pann's map...I think that's their RPM model output. it was some sort of model for sure - the colors changed from when he did it at 5am versus 6am, but he had the text amounts in the same locations. Amped
I can't wait for rain and 35 during a winter storm warning. Yeah I went 100% white rain at DCA as well. It don't snow there no more. People thinking they'll stick a ruler in the ground and measure 8" are gonna have a bad time.

mattie g
I think I've calmed down since yesterday afternoon's weenie implosion, but I do still hope we get pasted, despite the fact that I don't think it's going to happen - not here at least. Yea it looks like that is what it is from seeing his maps on TV, they always use the RPM. Although once in a while like last night at 11 they also showed the Euro to explain the track without amounts.

packbacker
Looking at the storm totals contest and was amazed that everyone had IAD much higher, is IAD being 20 miles west of DCA make that big a difference? Looking at soundings you see a difference too but didn't think to much of it but I guess I should be glad I am in Herndon this week and not the city. Yes the 20 miles makes a huge difference around here, plus DCA is famous for their horrible measuring.
