I'm getting whiplash from changing directions so many times....

Nah, we're not talking some super north move here. NMM has basically zilch for MKE. Looks like the "precip field" of the 12z GFS and NAM really, but with clearly too much QPF.

.DISCUSSION...1126 AM CSTWE HAVE UPGRADED THE REMAINING COUNTIES IN THE WINTER STORM WATCH TOA WARNING. WE DECIDED TO HOLD OFF ON ANYTHING FROM OUR FAR SOUTHERNCOUNTIES UNTIL THIS AFTERNOON...ALTHOUGH IT IS QUITE POSSIBLE THAT AWARNING MAY BE WARRANTED FOR THESE COUNTIES AS WELL.THE LATEST 12 UTC GUIDANCE CONTINUES TO HIT THE AREA HARD WITH HEAVYSNOW...ESPECIALLY DURING THE DAY ON TUESDAY. IT CURRENTLY APPEARSTHAT MOST OF THE AREA WILL RECEIVE AT LEAST 5 TO 6 INCHES...BUT MANYAREAS WILL LIKELY RECEIVE MUCH MORE THAN THIS. THE THREAT FOR LAKEENHANCEMENT LATER TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING COULD RESULT IN AFOOT OR MORE ACROSS SOME ISOLATED LOCATIONS NEAR THE LAKE. FARTHERINLAND...SNOW AMOUNTS WILL STILL BE FAIRLY IMPRESSIVE...WITH 5 TO 8INCHES LIKELY.THE STRONG DYNAMICS WITH THIS SYSTEM AND THE LIKELIHOOD OF LOW STATICSTABILITY IN THE MID LEVELS WILL LIKELY LEAD TO SOME IMPRESSIVE SNOWRATES...OF 1 TO 1.5 INCHES PER HOUR. SOME ISOLATEDAREAS...ESPECIALLY NEAR THE LAKE COULD SEE SOME PERIODS OF 2 INCHPER HOUR RATES. I DID BUMP UP SNOW AMOUNTS SOME ACROSS NORTHEASTERNILLINOIS DUE TO THE LIKELIHOOD OF LAKE ENHANCEMENT.WE WILL ASSESS THE NEED FOR EITHER A WARNING OR ADVISORY FOR THE FARSOUTHERN COUNTIES FOR THE AFTERNOON PACKAGE.
