wisconsinwx
It's never easy here, not that I should be complaining right now. But the 12z RGEM with the "flip LAF off finger" on the snowfall map. 3:4 12z RGEM snowfall.gif I think it's south of Lafayette anyway. That's more like "screw Terre Haute". I think you're grasping at straws to be negative. Don't worry, I understand there hasn't been much this winter to be positive about, but this is an exception. cyclone77
Still riding my 6-8" call for here and the QC after the 12z suite. Still thinking 3-6" for LAF.
RJSnowLover
As troubling as the trend is, the 12z GFS still gives Chicago 6-8 inches.
CIWeather
Wonder if ILX starts talking about the EURO a little more now? Barely mentioned it this morning.
A-L-E-K
As troubling as the trend is, the 12z GFS still gives Chicago 6-8 inches. We're shedding a tenth or two of QPF each run across the board...and they seem to be trending towards the foreign models which are really ugly. We should have known the NAM wouldn't string together b2b "quality" performances.

But my confidence is increasing on accumulating snowfall for LAF. But, changeover time will be critical.

Wow, you did pretty decent with that thing. Was pretty wimpy by the time it reached us. Picked up 0.1". Still spitting a few flakes, but it's pretty much moved on. Chicago WX
12z GFS and NAM maps for comparison. Subtle differences remain on the edges, in places. Overall theme is apparent.
mimillman
Going to ride my 5.7" call for here. The trend isn't good but hopefully that's the last of it. We've seen this before. There's been a few wobbles like this inside 48 hours with past events. Remember when MKE tool down their watch on the last storm because it looked like everything would pass south, only to have them come back full force? BowMeHunter
just a normal cutoff for mke this winter. this must be about the 5th storm to just miss. clipper lol.
mimillman
totally different beast...there is a long history of late game northwest shifts with deep cutters...naso much with clippers Time will tell. I think we'll see a final shift south at 18z, only to bring it back north again starting the 00z suite.

buckeye
sne gets crushed now lol. if nothing else there's some across the board entertainment with this one. The NE forum is going bonkers, meanwhile check out DT's page, he's moved all his chips on the square that says no snow for sne. He's practically guaranteeing it...lol. I'm thinking low end warning criteria for here....maybe 4-6"
mimillman
reasoning or just a hunch?Just a hunch. Could be completely wrong, but either way I still like 4-7. I think at this point, we can pretty much lock at least 3 inches, otherwise God just has it out for us. Point forecast just upped here...
